Chief Financial Officer / CFO (m/f/d)

We are looking for a CFO (m/f/d) to manage our dynamic and highly motivated team and bring our company to the next level. You will be part of our top management team and act as a financial and strategic co-pilot and sparring partner to the CEO, helping to define, implement and adjust Flightright’s strategy and ensure a sound financial performance. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and management skills, in-depth knowledge of HGB accounting rules and other relevant financial regulations. You have a hands on attitude with attention to detail while at the same time are able to represent the company to our shareholders.

• You are responsible for all financial activities of the organization, from budget planning to controlling of operational performance, incl. support in the acquisition of suitable companies that complement our strategy

• You lead and develop a high-performance team

• Manage the budgeting process, including the creation of financial models and forecasts

• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analysis for internal and external stakeholders

• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance department with a strong focus on quality

• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and shareholder requirements

• Work on special projects such as establishment of new transfer pricing mechanism, liquidity  or SAP migration

• Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, such as auditors and tax advisors

• Communicate financial results and recommendations to the executive team and the board of directors

• You are a strategic thinker: able to synthesize data, recognize patterns and insights, and identify ways to create and capture value

• Ideally, you have gained experience in top management consulting, private equity and/or industry experience – alternatively, multi-year big-4 accounting experience topped with being a certified auditor (“Wirtschaftsprüfer”) 

• 6+ years of work experience in finance, with ideally 3 years of experience in a senior leadership role

• You are a team player, collaborative and always focusing on what is best for the company

• Strong knowledge of HGB and other relevant German regulation and laws

• Ideally, knowledge of SAP (migration)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to manage and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment

• Fluency in English and German
